The Reich Menagerie

A song from "Los Barcos Solares de Rapa Nui". It has a a play on words in the title. There is a famous play by talented author Tennessee Williams, "The Glass Menagerie", and there are two famous musicians who belong to the minimalistic movement Philip Glass and Steve Reich. As this piece is in that style, I thought that the play on words on the title would fit perfectly.

Una canción de "Los Barcos Solares de Rapa Nui". Tiene un juego de palabras en su título. Existe una pieza teatral famosa del talentoso Tennessee Williams, "The Glass Menagerie", y hay dos músicos del movimiento minimalista Philip Glass y Steve Reich. Como esta obra está inmersa en ese estilo me pareció que el juego de palabras quedaba bien.

Bocetando la portada

While we work on "El Esmilodonte Asimétrico", I begun sketching the cover art. Of course a Sabretooth will be featured in it. This is my first approach, but I still will be working on it.

Mientras trabajamos en "El Esmilodonte Asimétrico", comencé a bocetar el arte de portada. Como es obvio, un tigre dientes de sable aparecerá en ella. Ésta es mi primera aproximación, pero voy a seguir trabajando en el asunto.

Basset Hounds grabando...

Gstaad Basset Hounds are recording a new album. Its possible title is "El Esmilodonte Asimétrico". Though it will have some experimental tracks, it will be in a more melodic way, than the ones which appeared in "Vacaciones en Gstaad", where experimentation took a different way (the exploration of timbre, for example). But the tone of the album  will be highly oriented to the blues and it will also include some covers such as "Girl From the North Country" by Bob Dylan, "All Day and All of the Night" by The Kinks and Jesus Chariot, a traditional song which was performed by Neil Young.

Gstaad Basset Hounds están grabando un Nuevo album, cuyo possible título será "El Esmilodonte Asimétrico". Aunque contará con algunos tracks experimentales, serán éstos de corte más melódico que los incluidos en "Vacaciones en Gstaad", en donde la experimentación pasaba por otros caminos (lo tímbrico, por ejemplo). Pero el tono general del album estará bastante ligado al blues y también incluirá algunos covers como "Girl From the North Country" d Bob Dylan, "All Day and All of the Night" de The Kinks y Jesus Chariot, un tema tradicional que ha sido interpretado por Neil Young.
